GO TO KIDS GO TO STUDENTS

Children are a gift from God! Attend any service with Crestview and you’ll see how much we love children. We believe God calls parents to be the primary disciple-makers of their children. Crestview is here to partner with parents in that task. Through our ministries and the friendships parents make, we seek to be intentional to speak the Word of God into the lives of children so they might hear and respond to the good news of King Jesus.

BIRTH TO PRE-K

It is never too early to begin to teach children the truth of the Gospel. From the smallest of infants to the most energetic of preschoolers, we want to tell them that God made them for His glory!

Sundays

Equipping Courses 9:30 -10:10 AM

During the Equipping Course hour, we offer childcare for children birth to 2 years of age. For children 2 to 5 years of age, we offer a fun, engaging class for them to encounter the Gospel of Jesus Christ. All of our children’s classes use the The Gospel Project curriculum.

Gathered Worship 10:30-11:45 AM

During the Gathered Worship service, we provide childcare for ages birth to 5 years of age with activities, Bible studies, snacks, and recreation.

Wednesdays

Discipling 6:30-7:45 PM

On Wednesday evenings we offer childcare for birth to 2 years of age. The preschool group studies missional applications from the previous Sunday’s lesson from The Gospel Project.

ELEMENTARY

We want to capitalize on theses formative years in children’s lives as they begin asking personal questions about God and the Gospel!

Sundays

Equipping Courses 9:30 -10:10 AM

During the Equipping Course hour, children have a class designed specifically for kindergarten to 5th grade. They participate in games, crafts, large group teaching, and small group activities. All of our children’s classes use The Gospel Project curriculum.

Gathered Worship 10:30-11:45 AM

As children approach kindergarten age, if you are not already doing so, we encourage families to begin sitting with one another and worshiping together in our Sunday service. Children learn about the Lord and how to worship him as they watch their parents and others in the church sing, pray, and study God’s Word. Even at a young age children can learn and be transformed by faithful expository sermons.

With a bit of purposeful preparation children can be helped to participate and enjoy the service. We understand that God put the wiggle in kids. However, if a parent feels they need to step out with their child, we have a family area located in the hallway outside the worship center where the service is cast on a screen.

wednesdays

Discipling 6:30-7:45 PM

On Wednesday evenings we offer a class for children in which they study missional applications from the previous Sunday’s lesson from The Gospel Project. During this time, they will also play interactive games, make fun crafts, and worship God through song!

Special Events

Throughout the year, our Kid’s Ministry will participate in extra activities like our Easter egg hunt in the spring, Christmas party in December, and other family-focused events!

CONNECTING CHURCH AND HOME

Parenting in the Pew

At Crestview, we welcome and encourage families to participate together in our Sunday gathered worship services. We know God put the wiggle in kids and love having them in our worship services. The Parenting in the Pew Guide is intended to help you understand why we encourage families to worship together, as well as provide practical steps for your family as you seek to train your children to participate and engage along with you each Sunday.

The Ride Home

On your way out the door, be sure to take your child’s Gospel Project Activity Sheet with you. This sheet will have information and questions about the lesson. Use these as a launching point to have a conversation with your child about what they have learned.

Family Worship

Families will be strengthened by developing the practice of worship in the home. Our Family Worship Guide is a tool to equip you for this task!

ABOUT OUR MINISTRY

Safety and Security

We place a high value on the safety of your child and our volunteers. All of our volunteers and staff are background checked, interviewed, trained, and monitored using MinistrySafe’s 5-point safety system. This allows us to provide a safe, secure, and efficient children’s ministry environment for your little ones!

Your First Visit

Look for the signs directing you towards our Kid’s Ministry Check-in Area or ask any greeter for directions. We’ll meet your family, get your kids registered, and show you to your class.

How Check-in Works

After your first visit, check in your child at any available station. After finding your family’s listing, you and your child will print matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and visit. After the service, you’ll return to your child’s classroom and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

Nursing Mothers Room

A nursing mother’s room is available adjacent to the Check-in area for mothers with nursing babies.

Family Area

We understand that God put the wiggle in kids, and Crestview members are accustomed to having children in the service. However, if a parent feels they need to step out with their child, we have a family area located in the hallway outside the worship center where the service audio and video is cast on a screen. Feel free to return to the worship center at any time.

our desire is to partner with parents in the discipleship of their teenagers.

Equipping Courses 9:30-10:10 AM

During the Equipping Course hour we have several classes available to teach and equip believers in foundational truths, sound doctrine, and understanding the Bible. We believe that teenagers should be challenged to learn substantial Biblical truth so that they may grow into spiritually healthy adults. With this in mind, we encourage parents and students to attend equipping courses together on Sunday mornings. While most of our students choose to attend the same course together, there is not a class limited only to students.

wednesdays

Discipling 6:30-7:45 PM

Our main student-geared event of the week happens on Wednesday evenings! Wednesday’s are focused on discipleship and spiritual growth specific to the needs and circumstances facing teens. We fellowship, play games, eat pizza, have a time of teaching, and small group discussion. We are focused on two things: 1) laying the ground work for strong discipleship in the lives of students; 2) equipping students to fulfill the mission of Christ by discipling others as well. Crestview Student Ministry is focused on making disciples who make disciples! If your teenager is looking for a time designed specifically with their desires and contexts in mind, this is it!

Special Events

Throughout the year we participate in special events outside of our Wednesday night gathering. These include conferences (one day and overnight), student retreats, game/fellowship nights, and mission trips! Mission trips are a great way for students and families to be involved in the mission of Jesus Christ to take the Gospel to the nations!

CONNECTING CHURCH AND HOME

The Ride Home

We encourage parents to initiate conversations on the way home with their teens about what they learned from the sermon or lessons. What was significant to them? How were they encouraged or challenged? What should they do in view of what they heard?
